LOOKING FOR INSURance for my TAKAGI tankless water heater

I recently installed a tankless water heater, and I am looking for a repair service in my 408 area. The contractor that I hired never sent in my paperwork for my warranty. Can you please direct me to a service plan?

CThe employee I spoke to was wonderful. The unit I was going to buy from Craigslist was H1 and it was $500.00 never opened but employee said it was probably very old. Do you know a person who can sell me a propane one and install for under a thousand?

Non working

Takagi never responded. I don't see an option for leaving a review with Takagi.

They sent me a replacement part for a non functioning part on a new unit. They received my claim for labor, but it has been ignored.

Original review updated Jun 01, 2024

Takagi doesn't test their units before sending out to suppliers, apparently. I received one with a burner that didn't work.

A replacement was sent very quickly. We were promised the extra cost of swapping out the new unit back to the old, then trading out the burner for the replacement and reinstalling the new unit, would be covered.

It was not and contacting Takagi since has been a waste of time, because they don't answer the emails. Whoever owns Takagi isn't worth doing business with.

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Don't buy a Takagi. I was sent a unit that the burner didn't work. It was replaced fast. The installer had to take the new unit out and reinstall the original. Then he had to swap burners and swap out the heaters again. Takagi promised to pay for all the extra labor. They didn't and refuse to follow up on other emails sent.

No hot water after installation, other than the long hold time on the phone, it was quickly resolved with help from customer support.
